BERRY SMOOTHIE BOWLS

A bright, feel-good breakfast that tastes like Summer and gives your brain a hit of the good stuff – antioxidants, fibre, healthy fats and a whole lot of happy energy.

Ingredients

smoothie base

1 cup frozen mixed berries
1 frozen banana (or ½ if you prefer it less sweet)
½ cup Greek yoghurt (or coconut yoghurt)
½ cup milk of choice (almond, oat, dairy — whatever you love)
1 tbsp honey or maple syrup (optional)

Toppings

Sliced banana
Fresh blueberries
Sliced strawberries
1 tbsp chia seeds
A handful of granola

Method

  1. Add the frozen berries, frozen banana, yoghurt, milk and sweetener (if using) to a blender.

  2. Blend until thick and smooth, you want a creamy, spoonable consistency. If it’s too thick, add a splash more milk.

  3. Pour into a bowl.

  4. Top with banana slices, blueberries, strawberries, chia seeds and granola.

  5. Sit somewhere sunny and enjoy slowly.
